Is there anything I actually need to know for the wedding?
Facilities: The ceremony and reception will be outdoors (same general area), but there will be access to indoor areas, running water, electricity, and all of that.
Dress Code: For us, the most important thing is that you are comfortable. Keep in mind that it is generally a few degrees cooler in Garden Valley than Boise, and that in our low-humidity, high desert climate, the temperature can drop pretty quickly and significantly once the sun goes down. Also keep in mind that the ceremony and reception is outdoors on variable terrain, and that the sun will be down for the last two hours of the evening.
Child Policy: You may be wondering if you can bring your children. I don't know, is your child a nerd? Just kidding, we love nerds. Just make sure you let us know the total size of your party so that we can make preparations (eg. cages, muzzles, treats, etc).
Dog Policy: Unfortunately, the venue owner has asked that dogs stay at home
Vaccine Policy: While we are not requiring proof of vaccination, for the safety of our guests, we are asking that attendees please be up to date on their vaccinations, including COVID and Influenza
Other: Our invitees come from a variety of different religious backgrounds and maintain different belief systems. We can certainly understand that, for some, religion and marriage may seem inextricable. However, we have decided to keep the ceremony secular. We additionally request that toasts not involve religion, and for there to be no calls for group prayer
